Coalition SEGA realized the training on “Digital Participation and Active Citizenship (DigiPAC)” in Skopje with 13 representatives from civic and youth organizations and representatives from high schools from the Skopje region.

The participants strengthened their capacities regarding the ways, as well as application of the methodology used in European countries, which aims to encourage digital participation and active citizenship among young people. They got acquainted with the terms Media literacy, proper behavior on the Internet “Netiquette”, youth participation and digital youth participation, but also learned methods and techniques that they will apply with young people at the local level.

During October and November, subsequent local activities with young people will be carried out in the direction of encouraging digital participation and active citizenship of young people, that is, organizing workshops for E-participation with young people and using the OPIN tool www.opin.me. The DigiPAC training manual and additional materials created within the Erasmus+ project was shared with the training participants. Coalition SEGA will provide mentoring support in the implementation of the follow-up activities at the local level.

The training was held in the period from 07 – 09 October 2022 in Skopje, as part of the activities of the ACTIon project, financed through the Erasmus+ program, which aims to help promote civic education, active digital citizenship and democratic participation of young people in formal and informal education.
